Where teens connect through things they love

Connection doesn't have to mean leaving the house.

Locked In is our weekly online group for neurodivergent teens. They get together to play, talk, and get to know each other around the things they actually enjoy, all from the comfort of home.

    If this sounds familiar

Maybe there's no group near you. Maybe your teen does better starting from their own room, where things feel safe. Maybe they've turned down every invitation, won't walk into a new place without you, and have started to believe the problem is them.

You've tried the things people recommended, and your teen still has no one to text on a Friday night.

Teens playing an online group game together on laptops

None of that means your teen is hard to like. It usually just means they haven't been in the right room yet. Online can be that room.

    Why online works

For a lot of neurodivergent teens, a screen lowers the pressure. They can join from a familiar space, settle in at their own pace, and take part in the way that feels right for them.

Being home isn't a lesser way to show up. For many teens, it's the thing that makes showing up possible at all.

    What a session is like

Locked In is simple. A small group of neurodivergent teens gets together online and plays games. There's no lesson and no one gets put on the spot. Teens get a game to focus on and a chance to meet other teens whose brains work a lot like theirs.

Cameras are optional, and typing in the chat counts just as much as talking.

Between sessions: there's an optional, moderated Discord where teens can keep the conversation going during the week.

    Who Locked In is for

Neurodivergent teens, including those with ADHD and autism. Most of the group is 14 to 17, but that's a guide and not a strict rule. If your teen is a little younger or older and you think they'd be comfortable, they're welcome.

    Who runs it

Social Connections was founded by Briana Steelman, who has spent more than 18 years working with teens and families. That experience shows up in the small things, like keeping the group small, slowing the games down so teens have room to talk, and making sure every teen has a way to join in that feels right for them. There's no diagnosis or referral needed.

It's a community first, built around what teens actually want to show up for.

Your teen doesn't have to do this alone

And neither do you. Come see what a low pressure, teen led group feels like, with no pressure to turn it into anything more than one hour a week.
